Welcome to the first of our monthly round-ups of what’s going down in Electric.
First up; on Easter Saturday, April 4th, we welcome Genius Of Time . This Swedish duo have been making waves after breaking through with their Whitney-sampling ‘Houston We Have A Problem’ on Clone. Their hardware-heavy setup has been gaining equal recognition and promises to fill the stage, while their booming House beats fill the room.
The following night, Tome welcome Marquis Hawkes to Factory to help launch this years Life festival into orbit. Mr. Hawkes has some ridiculous House bangers which he’s released on the likes of DABJ and Fabric’s in-house label, Houndstooth.
April 10th is the big one this month: Confetti! So there’s this li’l referendum happening on May 22nd. It’s a no-brainer, cos people should be allowed marry who they want, right? we here at Electric are taking no chances and so have decided to throw the mother of all ruckuses in order to raise funds for the Marriage equality war chest. Oh, and did we mention Panorama Bar's Steffi, Virginia & Prosumer will be joining us on the night?
The following night Bap To The future welcome Volte-Face aka Casper Clark to Factory. He runs one of the best club nights in London in the form of Bleed Music and has recently started up a label offshoot to showcase his own productions.
Jonas Rathsman is not only a sick DJ, but also runs his own fashion brand called Uniforms For the Dedicated, so it’s a wonder that he even fits time in to pump out his awesome remixes for the likes of Sam Smith, Tensnake and London Grammar. He’s gonna blow the roof off Electric when he plays for Wildlife on April 16th.
Blooms is an up and coming singer-songwriter who will be launching her new EP in Factory on April 24th. This is an early gig (Doors 9 pm) and promises to be a more intimate affair than the regular bosh-a-thons Factory is famed for. Support on the night comes from Galway duo VOIDS.
As well as all this we have our regular parties Mixtape Mondays (Mondays, duh!), Brooklyn Zoo (Wednesday) and Wildlife (Thursday), alongside Alice’s All Day Party (5th & 26th) and a host of great nights in Factory.
Whew, that’s a lot of partying to be done in the space of a month
