London-based artist Jimmy Billingham aka HOLOVR will perform in the “drifting ambient acid techno” style that has laced many celebrated releases on labels such as Firecracker, Likemind, Opal Tapes, Further, Happy Skull, and his own Indole Records. Fresh from featuring on James Zabiela’s recent Balance Series compilation, and from live appearances in Barcelona and at Farr Festival UK, HOLOVR approaches his Irish debut at GIAF in a rich veil of form. Expect machine music for the mind, the body, and the soul.
lastminuteman is a Dublin based musician and producer. His debut solo 12" was released in 2017 on the wherethetimegoes label, which featured five diverse, nauseating, and picturesque odes to the epidemics of his city. The LMM live show, accompanied by his midi ensemble, aims to be an extension of these themes in a more improvised, and never-to- be-heard-again manner.
Italian born but we would suggest of Irish heart, Lerosa has been releasing on esteemed labels such as D1 Recordings, Uzuri, Ostgut Ton, Lunar Disko, and Photic Fields since 2005. His broad range of musical influences is reflected in the diversity of styles expressed in his productions, and indeed his DJ sets. Pop on a Lerosa record, and you are as likely to hear pop-tinged Italo as you are Detroit-inspired electro or spaced-out house music. For this set, we’ve asked Lerosa to dig deep into his collection, so you should expect an extended set of eclecticism to suit the vibe of the Garden.
